Cash For Life: Winning Lottery Ticket Worth At Least $7M Sold In Hudson Valley
A lucky winner is set to receive a thousand dollars every day after buying the right lottery ticket at a Hudson Valley gas station. A top-prize-winning CASH4LIFE ticket worth $1,000 a day was sold in Putnam County for the drawing on Friday, Aug. 30 at a Brewster gas station, New York Lottery officials announced. The ticket, worth a guaranteed $7 million, was sold at a Mobil gas station located at 1569 Route 22, officials added. The winning numbers were 10 12 14 28 29 with a Cash Ball of 03.

Crash Temporarily Closes Stretch Of Roadway In Hudson Valley
A crash that left a vehicle on its side in the Hudson Valley caused a brief road closure. The incident happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, Sept. 3 around 12:50 p.m., when a vehicle flipped on Myrtle Avenue in Mahopac, eventually coming to a rest next to a pole, according to Carmel Police. The crash caused Myrtle Avenue to close between Carmine Drive and Potter Road for around 20 minutes as crews worked to clear the scene. The roadway reopened around 1:10 p.m. The cause of the crash was not released.

Serious Hudson Valley Crash Leaves Rider In Critical Condition
A person was hospitalized in critical condition following a serious crash in the Hudson Valley that caused an hours-long road closure. The crash happened in Putnam County on Friday, Aug. 30 at around 5 p.m., when a motorcycle crashed on Route 22 near the intersection with Route 311, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. The motorcyclist was later taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, Hicks said. Route 22 in the crash area was closed until around 8 p.m. on Friday as authorities investigated the incident.

$300K Grant To Go Toward Crucial New Fire Training Center In Hudson Valley
Hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding from the New York State Senate are set to go toward a new fire training center to be used by countless departments in the Hudson Valley. Students in another Hudson Valley school district will be forced to look up from their phone screens, as officials will be requiring them to lock up their devices for the entire day. New Update: A 28-year-old Hudson Valley man who went missing after last being seen boarding a train in Northern Westchester has been found safe. Car Crashes Over Guardrail, Causing Closure Of Hudson Valley Road
A busy Hudson Valley road was closed for around an hour after a vehicle crashed over the guardrail into the woods. The crash happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Aug. 18 around 3:30 p.m., when a car crashed over a guardrail on Route 32 (Crane Road) in the area of Angela Drive in the town of Carmel, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department. No injuries were reported and both the driver and passenger refused ambulance trips. Route 32 was closed for about an hour as the vehicle was towed away.
