Rockland County resident Darryl Wright, age 41, of Pearl River, was charged on Thursday, Oct. 24, with criminal possession of a controlled substance, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh.  According to Walsh, the bust came following a six-month investigation into narcotics sales in the Town of Orangetown. At about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29 in Rockland County, the the Orangetown Police Department said it was notified of the male patient that walked into Nyack Hospital with a non-life-threatening wound that allegedly occurred in the village of Nyack.  The incident is currently under investigation by the Orangetown PD Detective Bureau. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 5:50 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in the area of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road in Orangetown. According to Sgt. Robert Wentland of the Orangetown Police, the victim, a bicyclist, was struck and injured while attempting to cross the intersection of Route 340 and Oak Tree Road.
