NJ Woman Strikes Overpass, Dies In I-87 Crash In NY: Troopers
A New Jersey woman was killed when her vehicle overturned and crashed into an overpass in upstate New York's Capital Region, authorities said. Jennifer Okoro-Ibiam, 42, of Pemberton, died in the Warren County crash in Queensbury, on Monday, Nov. 18, New York State Police said in a news release. Troopers responded to the scene on Interstate 87 North at around 6:20 a.m. Investigators said the vehicle overturned before colliding with the Gurney Lane overpass and going off the highway. New Traffic Pattern Will Be In Place For Months On Busy Roadway In Hudson Valley
A new traffic pattern will be in place for more than six months on a busy roadway in the region. The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) is advising motorists in Northern Westchester County that the new pattern controlled by temporary signals will be on Route 6/202 in Cortlandt. The new pattern is necessary to facilitate an ongoing flood mitigation project at the Annsville Circle, the DOT said. Route 9W Stretch In Rockland Will Be Closed At Times For Nearly 2 Weeks: Here's When
A busy stretch of Route 9W will be closed at times for nearly two weeks during roadwork. The New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) says the stretch of the roadway will be shut down in both directions beginning Monday, Sept. 23, through Friday, Oct. 4, to facilitate construction activities, weather permitting. Sporadic, 15-Minute Closures Scheduled For Busy Roadway In Region
A busy roadway in Northern Westchester will have intermittent closures for a six-hour period over the weekend. The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists to expect the sporadic 15-minute traffic stoppages along Route 9A between Browns Lane and Skyline Drive in Mount Pleasant on Saturday, Sept. 14, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., to facilitate overhead wire work.

$32M Resurfacing Project Begins On I-287 Stretch
Work has commenced on a multi-million dollar project that will restore a well-used stretch of highway in Westchester, officials announced. In an announcement this week, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said a $32.4 million resurfacing project has started on a 5.5-mile stretch of Interstate 287 (Cross Westchester Expressway) between Westchester Avenue in Harrison and Route 1 in Rye. According to Hochul, the project will repair road joints, add new pavement, and upgrade road striping on the stretch of highway, which is part of one of the busiest roadways in the Hudson Valley. …

Commuters should note that a section of I-84 will be reduced to one lane in each direction for bridge painting. Expected Completion Date Announced For Years-Long Bridge Repair Project In Westchester
A multi-year project to repair a busy bridge in Westchester now has an estimated completion date. According to Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner, construction activity on the Ardsley Road Bridge over the Sprain Brook Parkway, which has been under repair for four years, will be completed by May 2025. Motorists in Rockland County can expect delays and detours as Route 303 closes in both directions for sewer repair work. The New York State Department of Transportation said Route 303 between Route 20 (Orangeburg Road) and Erie Street in the town of Orangetown will be closed in both directions from 8 p.m. on Friday, June 28, through Noon on Saturday, June 29, to facilitate sewer main repairs, weather permitting.
