Suspect Nabbed, Victim ID'd After Young Woman Found Dead In Hudson Valley Residence A suspect is in custody after a young woman was found dead inside a residence in Westchester. At about 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, police received a call regarding an incident in New Rochelle in an apartment at 55 Clinton Place. Man Kills Parents Before Jumping To Death From Bridge In NY, Police Say A man from the region murdered both of his parents before jumping to his death from a highway bridge in upstate New York, police said. Troopers in Albany were called about a man threatening to jump from the Patroon Island Bridge (I-90) at around 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15. Before they could get there, the man jumped and was found dead below the bridge. New York State Police identified the man as 35-year-old Jordan Miklowitz, of Schenectady. Ulster County resident Joseph Karolys, age 39, of Saugerties, was convicted on Friday, June 14, of manslaughter, assault, and tampering with physical evidence following a two-week jury trial for the death of David "Mickey" Myer, age 66, also of Saugerties, on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022. The incident occurred in Orange County a little after midnight on Sunday, June 9, in the city of Newburgh.
