Haverstraw Child Sex Abuser Headed To Prison A Hudson Valley man is headed to prison for sexually abusing a child for years, beginning at the age of nine. Rockland County resident Elmer Oviedo Sandoval, 47, of Haverstraw, was sentenced to six years in state prison on Tuesday, Oct. 29, for the course of sexual conduct against a child, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh. Hudson Valley Man Convicted Of Molesting Child A Hudson Valley man faces up to seven years in prison for sexually molesting a 9-year-old girl for three years. Rockland County resident, Elmer Oviedo-Sandoval, age 47, of Haverstraw, was convicted on Monday, Aug. 12, after a two week jury trial.
