A Hudson Valley man was busted for the unauthorized practice of a profession for allegedly representing himself as an engineer. Orange County resident William Sattler, age 64, of Middletown, was charged by New York State Police on Thursday, Sept. 26. A Hudson Valley man is facing years in prison after pleading guilty to selling drugs and guns throughout the area using a food truck. Orange County resident Kirkland Salmon, age 42, of Newburgh, pleaded guilty in Orange County Court to criminal possession of a controlled substance, sale of a firearm, and conspiracy on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Under the plea agreement, the Orange County District Attorney's Office will recommend that he be sentenced to 12 years in prison, followed by five years of post-release supervision when he is sentenced in December. Shooting Update: 2 Men Injured In Hudson Valley, Suspect On Run
Police are investigating after two men were shot while visiting a Hudson Valley home. The incident occurred in Orange County at 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, in front of 31.5 Lake Ave. in Middletown. According to Middletown Police Lt. Jeffry Thoelen, officers responded to the area after receiving several 911 calls reporting shots fired. Officers located evidence consistent with a shooting but no injured people. A 19-year-old Hudson Valley man is dead after being hit by an SUV while allegedly engaging police in a pursuit. Orange County resident Noe Dominguez, of New Hampton, a small hamlet in the town of Wawayanda, died around 7:20 p.m., Saturday, June 22, at the intersection of Route 6 and Dolson Avenue in Wawayanda.
