Man Dies In Fall From Roof On Long Island A man fell to his death from the roof of a two-story home on Long Island, authorities say. The incident occurred on Maple Avenue in Lynbrook on Saturday, Nov. 30.  According to Nassau County Police, the 47-year-old man lost his footing while working on the roof and fell to the ground, sustaining severe head trauma. The victim, whose identity and place of residence have not been released, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a physician. 'Agitated' Man Dies After Being Subdued By Police In Wyandanch A man police described as "agitated" died shortly after being handcuffed and subdued on Long Island. The incident happened just before 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, in Wyandanch. A 911 call reported the man, possibly intoxicated, lying on the ground on Merritt Avenue, according to Suffolk County Police. When officers arrived, the man, who was naked from his waist down, was banging on a business window, acting irrational and agitated, said police.
