44-Year-Old Killed After Being Struck By Car While Working On Pickup Truck On Blue Point Road
A man who was working on a pickup truck on a Long Island roadway was killed after being struck by a car. It happened around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in Blue Point. A 54-year-old East Patchogue woman was driving a 2009 Hyundai Elantra southbound on Kennedy Avenue near Pine Street when the vehicle struck a man working on a 2006 Dodge Ram parked on the northbound side of the road. 48-Year-Old Dies From Injuries Days After Hit-Run Long Island Crash
A man has died from injuries several days after a hit-and-run crash on Long Island. The victim was struck by a vehicle in Elmont at around 4:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 while crossing Hempstead Turnpike at Elmont Road. The vehicle left the scene westbound on Hempstead Turnpike, Nassau County Police said. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. A Long Island man was killed when his car crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, authorities said. Drunk Driver Plows Through Salon On Long Island, Police Say
A Long Island business was heavily damaged by an alleged drunk driver. The incident happened in New Hyde Park, at the Touch of Class II salon on Jericho Turnpike, at around 1:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27. Nassau County Police said officers arrived to find an unoccupied Acura sedan just outside the building’s front exterior. The impact shattered two large windows and toppled part of a brick wall.
