Cherished Winter Walk Will End After 26 Years In Capital Region For nearly three decades, a beloved Capital Region winter event will end due to ballooning costs and a lack of donations. On Friday, Sept. 20, the city announced that the Winter Walk, which took place in Columbia County in Hudson Hall, will not occur in 2024. The event has taken place the first weekend in December since 1997 on a mile of the city's main thoroughfare. Performers entertain the crowds, shops stay open and serve hot chocolate and whimsical window displays are featured, all to honor a visit from Santa and the winter season. Alert Issued For Missing 33-Year-Old Hudson Valley Woman A 33-year-old woman from the region has gone missing, and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her. New York State Police issued an alert on Sunday, July 21, noting that Columbia County resident Hope Marie Duntz, of the city of Hudson, was reported missing by her family. She is described as being 5-foot-4 and 155 pounds. She has blonde hair with green tips and blue eyes. Capital Region Woman Accused Of Stalking Capital Region Woman Accused Of Stalking
Capital Region Woman Accused Of Stalking A resident from the region has been accused of stalking. New York State Police in Columbia County from the Livingston barracks say an investigation determined Tara Tomlin, age 29, of Elizaville, contacted the past and current employer of the victim to make false allegations of drug use and inappropriate behavior. On Tuesday, June 25, Tomlin was charged with: Aggravated harassment in the second degree,  Stalking in the fourth degree. Tomlin was arraigned before the city of Hudson Court and released on her own recognizance to reappear on Tuesday, July 2.

Alert Issued For Missing 28-Year-Old From Capital Region Police are asking for the community’s help in locating a woman from the region who was reported missing. Columbia County resident Sarah Magner, age 28, of Hudson, may also go by the name Ashley, Hudson Police announced Thursday, June 6.
