Shots Fired Incident Leads To Dramatic Arrest Of Sullivan County Man: Police A Monticello man wanted for a 2024 shooting incident was taken into custody after a foot pursuit in which he allegedly attempted to grab a firearm. Jaimuj Tomlinson, age 21, was arrested around 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, following a dramatic foot pursuit on Broadway, said Lt. Mark Johnstone of the Monticello Police. Johnstone said Officer Tyrus Walker spotted Tomlinson walking on Broadway and recognized him as a suspect in the 2024 shooting on Spring Street.  During that incident, Tomlinson allegedly fired at least eight rounds from a 9mm handgun, striking a residence and a parked…

Man From Region Shot In Foot, Police Search For Suspects Police are investigating and searching for suspects in connection with a shooting that left a Hudson Valley man wounded. The incident occurred in Sullivan County at 10:10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, at Broadway and Jefferson Street in the village of Monticello. Lt. Mark Johnstone of the Monticello Police said responding officers found a 22-year-old Monticello man on Liberty Street who had been shot in the left foot.
