A man from the region has been charged with two counts of burglary for allegedly breaking into the same business twice and stealing property. The incidents occurred in Sullivan County at the Taam Eden Baker at Mountain Square Mall in Monticello on Tuesday, Aug. 27, and Thursday, Aug. 29. According to Monticello Police Lt. State Trooper From Region Suspended Without Pay After Being Accused Of Robbery
A New York State Trooper has been suspended without pay following his arrest for an alleged robbery in the region. The arrest occurred in Sullivan County in the village of Liberty on Tuesday, Aug. 13, for an incident in 2023. Friends and strangers from across the region have come together and donated to help a family bury an 11-year-old girl hit and killed by a car. The incident occurred in Sullivan County around 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, on Route 52 in the Lava area of the town of Tusten. A woman has been charged after a 2-year-old died in a hot car in the region. On Tuesday, July 16 at approximately 6:45 p.m. in Sullivan County, police responded to a 911 call of a child left in a vehicle at the Sleepy Hollow Apartment Complex in Monticello. Upon arrival, officers located a 2-year-old boy in a 2012 Ford Explorer suffering from cardiac arrest, New York State Police said. The driver of a minivan was airlifted following a crash with a full-size school bus in the region. The collision occurred in Sullivan County around 8:30 a.m., Monday, May 20, on Route 52 in Jeffersonville.
