1 Killed In Row House Fire In Capital Region One person was killed in a fire that tore through a Capital Region home. Multiple agencies in Greene County responded to Main and Union streets in Catskill for a large structure fire at a row house at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23. One person died in the blaze, according to the Catskill Fire Company. No other injuries were reported. The blaze broke out in Dutchess County in the town of Clinton at 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13. Fatal House Fire: 84-Year-Old Woman ID'd As Victim In Capital Region Blaze Authorities have identified a woman who died in a house fire in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened in the town of Milton, at a residence on Greenwood Drive, at around 5 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Ballston Spa Fire officials said several agencies responded for a house that was on fire and possibly occupied. Once the flames were extinguished and firefighters got inside, they found the body of an 84-year-old woman. On Tuesday, July 30, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Mary Lou Cotton, of Milton. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
