Impaired Driver Struggles With Troopers After Crashing On Clifton Park Highway, Police Say
An alleged impaired driver was combative with troopers after wrecking on a Capital Region highway, police said. Rensselaer County resident John Reinhart, 45, of Melrose, was arrested following a single-vehicle crash in Saratoga County, on State Route 146 in Clifton Park, early Sunday, Jan. 19. Troopers determined that Reinhart was driving while intoxicated and possessed an illegal amount of cannabis and felony-weight narcotics, according to New York State Police. An accused serial car prowler in the Capital Region is behind bars thanks to incriminating evidence from the victims. Albany County resident Christopher White, 36, of Cohoes, was arrested Thursday, Jan. 23, in connection with a string of car break-ins in Colonie dating back to Christmas 2024, Colonie Police said. Capital Region Girl, 17, Has Been Missing For 3 Days
Authorities are asking for help in locating a missing teenager from the Capital Region. Desiree Arvelo, 17, of Troy, was last seen on Monday, Jan. 20, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse. She was last seen wearing a pink puffy coat and is believed to be in the local area, officials said. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-346-3543. A traffic stop on I-87 in Albany led to the arrest of a Walden man for possession of felony-weight narcotics, the New York State Police reported.
