13-Year-Old Riding Bicycle Struck, Killed By Vehicle On Residential Roadway In Hudson Valley Police are investigating a crash in which a boy was killed on a residential roadway in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 29 in Rockland County. That's when the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in the village of Pomona at the intersection of High Mountain Road and Overlook Road. Upon arrival, units discovered the vehicle with the 13-year-old boy underneath the vehicle, said Chief John Gould Jr. of the town of Haverstraw Police Department. Hudson Valley Man Charged After Firing Shotgun At Car Following Dispute A Hudson Valley man was charged with menacing after allegedly firing a shotgun at a car following a dispute. The incident occurred in Rockland County in Tomkins Cove on Thursday, Feb. 15, on West Shore Drive. According to Lt. Daniel Schoales of the Stony Point Police, an investigation found that Matthew Hoyt, age 42, of Tomkins Cove, fired at least two rounds from a shotgun at a vehicle that was fleeing the scene after a dispute.  After an investigation by the Detective Bureau, Hoyt turned himself in to Stony Point Police on Thursday, June 13, said Schoales.  He was ch…
