Blaze Consumes Home In Hudson Valley, Prompts Investigation Firefighters from multiple departments battled a house fire in Rockland County on Sunday evening, Feb. 16, that prompted an investigation into the cause of the blaze. The blaze began at around 7 p.m. at a residence on Stella Court in Stony Point, where arriving police officers found heavy smoke pouring from the residence, the Stony Point Police Department said. Large Brush Fire Breaks Out At Harriman State Park For two days, numerous Hudson Valley fire departments battled a stubborn brush fire atop Nordkop Mountain. The fire occurred in Rockland County on Saturday, Oct. 26, and Sunday, Oct. 27, in Harriman State Park in Hillburn.
