Police are hoping a cash reward will lead to an arrest after a deceased dog was found abandoned in a wooded area of Long Island. The disturbing discovery was made in Miller Place, along Miller Place-Yaphank Road north of Whiskey Road, on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024. A man and his dog were both struck and killed while walking on a busy Long Island street. The incident happened in Amityville, near the intersection of Broadway and Loudon Avenue, at around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.
