Cop Hospitalized After Motorist Becomes Combative In Valley Stream, Police Say A police officer was hospitalized after a Long Island motorist allegedly became combative after being stopped near an intersection. Officers conducted the traffic stop of a 2012 Dodge Challenger in Valley Stream in the vicinity of Hook Creek Boulevard and 136th Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2. 38-Year-Old Charged After Fatal Overnight Brentwood Crash A man has been charged after a fatal overnight crash on Long Island. It happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday, May 22. The man was driving a 2017 Kia Forte in Brentwood eastbound on Suffolk Avenue when the vehicle struck the victim in the roadway in front of 500 Suffolk Ave. at approximately 11 p.m. The man who was struck, who has not yet been identified by police, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
