21-Year-Old Nabbed After Breaking Into Inwood Home, Police Say A 21-year-old man is accused of burglarizing a Long Island home. Nassau County Police were called about a break-in at an Inwood residence on Wahl Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2. When officers arrived, they found Wilber Sigaran fleeing the scene, police said. An officer caught up to Sigaran and deployed a TASER device in order to place him under arrest. Sigaran, of Inwood, is charged with assault and burglary. He was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Alert Issued For 15-Year-Old Hempstead Girl Missing For Days Police are trying to locate a 15-year-old Long Island resident who has been missing for days. Hannah Schenck, of Hempstead, was last seen on Maplewood Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1. Relatives reported her missing the following day. Nassau County Police said Schenck is 5-foot-5 and 110 pounds, with blonde and red hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a red sweater.
