Southern State Hit-Run: Long Island Man Charged With DUI After Crashing Into Cruisers A man faces a driving under the influence charge after police say his Toyota RAV4 struck two New York State Police vehicles on Long Island. The crash occurred just after midnight on Saturday, Nov. 16 on the eastbound lanes of the Southern State Parkway near exits 39 and 40S in Babylon. Man Nabbed For Dwai After LIE Chain-Reaction Crash With Serious Injuries In Holtsville: Police A man has been arrested on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol after a chain-reaction Long Island Expressway crash sent four others to the hospital overnight. The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, on the eastbound side, about 1,000 feet east of Nicolls Road in Holtsville. Police say Matthew Sheehy, age 46, of East Setauket, was driving a 2022 Dodge pickup when he struck a disabled 2010 Chrysler Town and Country parked on the right shoulder.  The impact sent the Chrysler across the lanes, where it was struck by a 2018 Honda CRV.
