A Long Island police detective faces hate crime charges after allegedly harassing a worker and damaging his vehicle in what authorities say was a racially motivated incident. The altercation occurred on Sunday, Nov. 3, around 7 p.m. in Manorville, near the corner of Sylvan Court and Weeks Avenue. Driver Accused In String Of Antisemitic Threats Around Cedarhurst Injures Officer, Police Say
A man is accused in a string of threats and antisemitic remarks targeting random people around Long Island. Nassau County Police said detectives were informed of two separate disturbances in Cedarhurst at around 1:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. The first happened near Lincoln Street and Oakland Avenue, and the second occurred near Barrett Road and Washington Avenue. Teen Duo Charged After Knife Found At Long Island High School
Two teens have been charged following a dispute that allegedly prompted one of them to bring a knife to school on Long Island. A 15-year-old boy displayed the knife at his bus stop and was met by staff members as he exited the bus at Sachem High School North in Lake Ronkonkoma, according to Suffolk County Police. The knife was recovered, and police were notified. The teen was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
