Long Island Man Accused Of Stabbing Co-Worker At Restaurant A Long Island man was arrested after allegedly stabbing his co-worker during a dispute. The incident happened on Sunday, Nov. 24, at approximately 11:10 a.m. at Gino’s of Nesconset, located on Smithtown Boulevard. According to investigators, 34-year-old Paul Albinagorta of Central Islip stabbed his 60-year-old co-worker with a knife during an argument.  The victim managed to leave the restaurant on foot and was assisted outside before being transported to Stony Brook University Hospital. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the 24-Hour Fitness on West Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream.  Edwin Cortez, age 47, is accused of displaying a knife during an argument with a 40-year-old man, according to Nassau County Police.  Cortez was arrested at the scene without incident, and no injuries were reported. Box Cutter-Wielding Man Breaks Into Long Island Home, Threatens Resident, Police Say A suspect was arrested days after a home break-in on Long Island. The incident happened in Speonk, at around 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, according to Southampton Town Police. Investigators said a resident called 911 saying a man known to them had illegally entered their home and threatened them with a box cutter. By the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled. Nobody was injured in the ordeal. On Saturday, Oct. 12, police arrested 42-year-old Bernard Colletti on suspicion of burglary and menacing. Colletti was arraigned the following morning.
