Woman Killed, Two Men Seriously Injured In Long Island House Fire: Police
A woman was killed, and two men were seriously injured in a house fire on Storz Place in Lindenhurst late Thursday, Jan. 9, Suffolk County police announced. First Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting the blaze at 9 Storz Place at 11:11 p.m., police said. Three occupants were rescued from the home by police and first responders. The woman, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Copiague Fire Department, authorities said. Human Remains Found Behind Lowe's Store In East Garden City
An investigation is underway after human remains were found behind a Long Island Lowe's store. Nassau County Police received a 911 call at around 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, reporting possible remains in the wooded area in East Garden City, in the rear of 700 Dibblee Drive, near the Meadowbrook Parkway. Upon arrival, officers noticed an abandoned encampment and discovered human remains. The Nassau County PD Homicide Squad and the Medical Examiner responded to the scene. Human Remains Found At Woodbury Construction Site
An investigation is underway after human remains were discovered on Long Island. Officers received a 911 call for possible human remains at a construction site in Woodbury located on Fairhaven Boulevard at about 4 p.m. Monday, June 10, Nassau County Police said. Upon arrival, the officers noticed skeletal remains while digging into the ground. The Medical Examiner responded, and the remains were removed from the scene and brought to the ME’s office for further examination. The investigation is ongoing.
