An American dog owner was accidentally shot by his pet in a freak incident rarely seen involving animals and firearms. Officers responded to a home in Memphis, Tennessee on Whitney Avenue at 3:50 a.m. Monday, March 10, where they found the victim with a gunshot wound to his left thigh, according to the police report first detailed by WMC-TV Action News 5.
