A winning TAKE 5 ticket worth $18,844 was sold at a Long Island convenience store, New York Lottery announced.

The top prize-winning ticket was purchased in Freeport, at the Anaya 223 store located at 223 West Merrick Road, for the midday drawing held Wednesday, Oct. 2.

TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Players can check their ticket status on the New York Lottery website.
