Worker Fatally Struck By Payloader At Long Island Mason Yard: Police
A Long Island worker was fatally struck by a payloader at a mason yard in North Lawrence, Nassau County police announced on Monday, March 10.
Michael Porter, 54, of Bellport, was hit by a large payloader operated by a 33-year-old male employee at the business located at 4 Johnson Road, according to detectives.
Officers responded to the scene at 9:01 a.m. on Monday, March 10, and Porter was transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a hospital physician, authorities said.
