Prosecutors filed murder charges against a man accused of stabbing his mother-in-law to death as she left a Long Island restaurant. Erick Corado-Gonzales, age 27, of Glen Cove, was indicted on second-degree murder and related charges in Nassau County Court on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the death of Ana Ruth Espinoza. A suspect has been apprehended and the identity has been released of a woman who was fatally stabbed behind a Long Island restaurant. Nassau County Police Fifth Precinct officers responded for a 911 call for a stabbing in the rear of La Candela Restaurant in West Hempstead located at 205 Hempstead Turnpike at around 12:05 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29. A man has died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle Long Island crash. The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 in Glen Cove. A 2001 Mercedes-Benz ML 320 driven by a 64-year-old woman was traveling westbound on Brewster Street and making a left turn when it collided with a 2018 Honda motorcycle, Nassau County Police said. A Long Island man has been arrested after police said he stole cash from a CVS, fled from a traffic stop, and eventually crashed into an overpass. The Glen Cove incident occurred just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21.
