Suspect On Loose After Long Island Bank Robbery A suspect is on the loose after a bank robbery on Long Island. A man entered the Chase branch in Shirley, located at 645 Northbound William Floyd Parkway, at about 3:45 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, and handed the teller a note demanding cash, according to Suffolk County Police. The teller complied and the suspect fled with cash. The robber was described as a white man with brown hair, who appeared to be in his 40s. He was wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. Burglar Sought After Stealing Cash From Long Island Business Police are investigating after a burglar made off with over $1,000 from a Long Island business. The break-in happened in Oyster Bay at the Lee’s Laundromat on South Street sometime overnight Monday, Sept. 9. Nassau County Police said someone pried open a rear door before stealing approximately $1,500 in cash. They then fled in an unknown direction. No description of the suspect was given. Masked Burglar Smashes Way Into 2 Long Island Businesses If you recognize this masked burglar who targeted two businesses on Long Island, police want to hear from you. The break-ins happened overnight, in the early hours of Thursday, July 18, in Carle Place. Nassau County Police said a masked man threw a rock through a glass window at Sunny Nail Spa on Voice Road sometime between midnight and 9:30 a.m. Once inside, he stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot.
