Authorities released new details in the search for a man accused of stabbing his father to death on Long Island. The incident happened in Rocky Point, at a residence located on Quail Road, at around 1:25 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. Seen Her? Alert Issued For Missing 15-Year-Old Girl From Long Island
Police are asking for the community’s help in locating a missing teenager from Long Island. Lilianna Marmol, age 15, of Dix Hills, was last seen on Wednesday, Nov. 13, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. A Long Island police detective faces hate crime charges after allegedly harassing a worker and damaging his vehicle in what authorities say was a racially motivated incident. A suspect is on the loose after a random, Halloween day stabbing attack on Long Island. The incident happened in Central Islip, outside a business on Brightside Avenue near Islip Avenue, shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Police are investigating after human remains were found not far from a high school on Long Island. The discovery was made in Brentwood, near the interaction of Fifth Avenue and Bancroft Road, shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. A Long Island man confessed to forcing a homeless teenager into prostitution in exchange for providing her with food and shelter. Javesh Persaud, age 34, of Shirley, pleaded guilty to sex trafficking and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Friday, Oct. 25. Prosecutors said Persaud met the 18-year-old victim in July 2023 on the now defunct website Omegle, which randomly paired strangers for virtual chats. A man and his dog were both struck and killed while walking on a busy Long Island street. The incident happened in Amityville, near the intersection of Broadway and Loudon Avenue, at around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. A convicted sex offender is accused of harassing an underage girl outside a Long Island convenience store. The incident happened in Patchogue, at the 7-Eleven store located near Montauk Highway and Bay Avenue, at around 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Suffolk County Police said 37-year-old Ronald Rios, of East Patchogue, made sexual comments to a 13-year-old girl. Person Hospitalized After 2-Vehicle Long Island Crash
A person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in Coram. A 47-year-old Coram man was riding a bicycle northbound on West Yaphank Road, south of Beach Lane, when he was struck by a northbound 2015 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 48-year-old woman. Student Caught With Loaded Gun At High School On Long Island
A teenager was apprehended after authorities say he brought a gun to his school on Long Island. The 14-year-old at William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach was being interviewed by a school administrator on an unrelated matter when the student was found to have a loaded gun. An employee at a Long Island gas station is accused of forcibly touching a teenager. A 16-year-old girl walked into the BP gas station, located in Huntington Station at 233 Walt Whitman Road on Monday, Oct. 14 at approximately 10 p.m. when she engaged in conversation with a gas station attendant, according to Suffolk County Police.
