Police On The Hunt For Suspects In 2 Hudson Valley Home Burglaries
Police in the Hudson Valley are hunting for suspects involved in two home burglaries during the early morning hours. Capt Michael Shannon of the Orangetown Police said the break-ins occurred on Friday, Dec. 13, around 4:15 a.m. in Pearl River and Orangeburg. Shannon said the first burglary occurred on Pinto Road in Pearl River. The suspects gained entry through a lower lever window. The suspects, dressed in dark-hooded sweatshirts and ski masks, left the home without taking anything. 30-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Fatal Crash Involving Stolen Car In Dutchess County
A man who was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle was killed when he crashed into a tree, and the SUV burst into flames while fleeing police in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 4:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the parking lot of Dunkin' Donuts on Violet Avenue in the town of Hyde Park. A 48-year-old Hudson Valley man faces several felony charges after allegedly breaking into a Northern Westchester residence and stealing a vehicle, police announced. Putnam County resident James Kennon was arrested on Friday, July 19 in connection with a vehicle theft and a break-in that occurred in Somers, New York State Police announced on Friday, July 26. A 20-year-old Pennsylvania man faces criminal charges after stealing a van containing a girl's customized wheelchair from a Northern Westchester driveway, police announced. Letrell Ackerman of Reading, Pennsylvania was taken into custody by Yorktown Police on Thursday, May 16 in connection with the theft of a vehicle with an electric wheelchair inside that occurred in June 2023, the department announced on Friday, May 17.
