A Sewaren man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sunday, March 1, authorities said. At 6:25 a.m., officers responded to West Avenue and Woodbridge Avenue after Jose Acosta was struck by a 2014 Nissan Rogue while attempting to cross West Avenue in a marked crosswalk, Woodbridge police said. Acosta was pronounced dead several hours later, police said. The crash remains under investigation, police said.
