Trooper Injured After Vehicle Strikes Patrol Car On Thruway A New York State Trooper was hospitalized after her patrol vehicle was struck during a traffic stop on I-87 in Albany County. Trooper Kristen Sullivan was conducting a northbound traffic stop around 8:44 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, when a 2017 Subaru Forester hit the driver’s side of her vehicle, New York State Police said. Sullivan suffered minor back and neck injuries and was taken to Albany Medical Center, where she was expected to be released later the same day. Crash Causes Hours-Long Road Closure In Hudson Valley A serious traffic crash in the Hudson Valley is causing an hours-long road closure. The crash occurred in Rockland County early on Friday, Sept. 13, on Route 45 in Ramapo. According to the Ramapo Police, Orange & Rockland Utilities will close Route 45 at Rensselaer and New Hempstead for the next 8 to 12 hours while working on repairs.  The department is asking drivers to plan an alternative route.
