Man Assaults Girlfriend, Flees In Taxi, But Soon Tracked Down By Drone In NY
A police drone helped officers quickly track down and arrest a suspect accused of assaulting his girlfriend in Rockland County after he fled the scene in a taxi, authorities said.
The incident happened in Ramapo on Friday morning, Jan. 16, when officers responded to a report of a woman who was assaulted in the face by her boyfriend, Ramapo Police said.
The suspect fled the scene in a white taxicab, according to authorities.
However, the department already had its RAPTOR drone in the air at the time, and it soon gave chase.
