Deputies Catch Suspect In Act In Burglary At Dutchess County Gas Station A suspected burglar was caught in the act by police at a gas station in Dutchess County.   The incident happened around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Shell station on Route 9G in Rhinebeck, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.  Deputies had been dispatched after a security alarm went off. When they arrived, they discovered a burglary in progress. The suspect was immediately taken into custody without further incident. 4-Year-Old Child Rescued After Kidnapping In Dutchess, Chase On I-84, I-684: Police This story has been updated.  A four-year-old child with autism was safely rescued after being abducted in a rapidly unfolding kidnapping situation that spanned Westchester, Dutchess, and Putnam counties, authorities announced. The incident began on Saturday, Feb. 22, when Putnam County 911 received a report of a vehicle stolen out of LaGrange. Person Stabbed In Hudson Valley, Suspect On Run Police in the Hudson Valley are asking the public for help after a person was found stabbed. The incident occurred in Orange County around 9:35 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, in the area of 124 Grand St., in the city of Newburgh.  According to Mike Neppl, Chief of Staff for the city, officers responded and located a victim, a 44-year-old City of Newburgh resident. Electronics, Cash Stolen From Parked Cars In Hudson Valley Neighborhoods Authorities are warning residents to lock their cars after electronics and cash were stolen from several vehicles in multiple Hudson Valley neighborhoods.  The thefts were reported in Putnam County on Friday morning, June 14, when Carmel Police learned that unlocked vehicles had been entered in the South Lake and North Lake Boulevard neighborhoods in Mahopac.  According to the department, small electronics and cash, reported as $20 and some loose change, were taken from some of the cars.  The suspect carried only a flashlight and a backpack and was not armed, police said als…
