Firefighters in Sullivan County responded to the Gulf Station in South Fallsburg, located at State Route 42 and Russell street, for a structure fire shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12. Two students were injured in a crash involving a school bus in Sullivan County. It happened in the hamlet of Rock Hill, on Highway 17 near Bridgeville Road, at around 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27. A Hudson Valley woman is facing homicide charges after a toddler died in a hot car. Sarah Carter, 34, of Monticello, was indicted for criminally negligent homicide by a Sullivan County jury on Friday, Jan. 24. Emergency crews were called to the Sleepy Hollow Apartment Complex in July 2024 for a child left in a vehicle. Officers located 2-year-old Antonio Suarez in a Ford Explorer suffering from cardiac arrest, according to New York State Police. Missing Hudson Valley Teens May Be Traveling Out Of State, Police Say
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a pair of Hudson Valley teenagers. Sullivan County residents Lariah Uhl, 15, and Lluvia Garcia, 16, were last seen in the town of Liberty on Thursday, Jan. 23, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse. Uhl was last seen wearing a one piece black jumpsuit, and Garcia had a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and was carrying a white purse.
