Driver High On Khat Busted With 400+ Grams On Route 17 In Hudson Valley: Nysp A Rochester man is facing serious drug charges after police said he was driving while impaired — and in possession of a large quantity of a stimulant drug in Sullivan County.  Yassir Ali Mohamed Sharhan, 40, was arrested on Tuesday, April 15, following a traffic stop on Route 17 in the Town of Rockland, New York State Police said on Friday, April 17. Troopers said they stopped a 2026 Kia traveling westbound just after 7:45 p.m. for a traffic violation. Sullivan County resident Christopher Dedonato, 26, of Liberty, was taken into custody Monday, May 5, following an investigation by New York State Police. Dedonato has worked as a math teacher at Liberty High School since 2022, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to that, he worked as a substitute teacher for both the Liberty Central and Beacon City school districts. Tyjhe Daeshawn Hargrove, of Brooklyn, was charged on Friday, Jan. 10, following an investigation into the Wednesday, July 3, 2024, attack at the Quality Gas and Convenience Store in Monticello. Shots Fired Incident Leads To Dramatic Arrest Of Sullivan County Man: Police A Monticello man wanted for a 2024 shooting incident was taken into custody after a foot pursuit in which he allegedly attempted to grab a firearm. Jaimuj Tomlinson, age 21, was arrested around 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, following a dramatic foot pursuit on Broadway, said Lt. Mark Johnstone of the Monticello Police.
