A man claiming to be Lucifer slashed three people with a machete at Grand Central Station before police officers shot and killed him Saturday, April 11, authorities said. At approximately 9:40 a.m., two officers assigned to transit overtime posts were flagged down by a civilian who reported a man armed with a knife had stabbed multiple people on a subway platform, according to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch. A 21-year-old New Jersey man has been charged in connection with punching a 55-year-old man dead at a Manhattan subway station on Saturday, March 14 authorities said. Nassadir Tate, a Hillside resident, was arrested on Sunday, March 15 at 4:06 p.m. in the Midtown South Precinct, the New York City Police Department said. The largest fast-food chain in the US is rapidly losing restaurants. Subway closed 631 locations in 2024, QSR Magazine reported on Tuesday, April 29. The sandwich giant ended the year with 19,502 restaurants nationwide – the lowest count in nearly 20 years.
