Just weeks after a former Lowe’s regional manager was busted in a Cumberland County human trafficking sting, seven more men have been arrested in a new undercover operation, District Attorney Seán M. McCormack announced on Wednesday, May 21.
The latest sweep, Operation Impact Demand XI, took place on Tuesday, May 14 at a hotel in East Pennsboro Township, led by the Cumberland County Human Trafficking Task Force with help from the East Pennsboro Township and Silver Spring Township police departments.

Teens Wanted In Multi-State Crime Spree, Firing At PA Troopers Captured In Connecticut
The two Tennessee teens who fired at Pennsylvania State Troopers during a multi-state crime spree have been captured in Hartford, Connecticut, authorities announced.
Jeremiah Begley, 17, and Christian Guerrero Jr., 17, were taken into custody on Thursday, Feb. 27, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, Hartford Police, and the PSP Fugitive Apprehension Unit, state police said. They are being held in Connecticut while awaiting extradition to Dauphin County, PA.

Pennsylvania American Water Co. issued a boil water order for customers in York and Cumberland counties, starting on Friday, Aug. 9, and ending on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
The company initially warned that 42,000 customers were affected in the following areas: Camp Hill, Lemoyne, New Cumberland, Shiremanstown, West Fairview and Wormleysburg boroughs; East Pennsboro, Hampden, Lower Allen, Silver Spring townships; parts of Middlesex and Upper Allen townships; and parts of Fairview and Newberry townships.

State Police Vehicle Stolen By Duo Who Led Troopers On Manhunt By PA Hotel (Video)
A manhunt has ended and two men are in custody after they stole a state police vehicle while fleeing from a traffic stop in central Pennsylvania, authorities say.
The traffic stop was attempted on Interstate 81 near mile marker 56.1 in Silver Spring Township around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, according to a release by Pennsylvania state police.
