Gunfire In Public: 2 Teens Caught In Shots-Fired Incident In Dutchess County, Police Say Police in Dutchess County have made arrests in a gunfire case last year that they say involved two teenagers. The incident happened in Poughkeepsie on Nov. 1, 2024, when officers responded to Cannon Street in the area of Reservoir Square for reports of shots fired, the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department said in an announcement on Thursday, Sept. 11. At the scene, officers recovered seven shell casings. Following an investigation, two people were charged in connection with the shooting, police said. Bullets Fly In Dutchess: Home, Car Hit In Triple Shooting Spree Over Holiday Weekend Police in Dutchess County are investigating three separate shootings that occurred over Memorial Day weekend, causing damage to a home and occupied car.  All three shootings happened in the City of Poughkeepsie on Sunday, May 25, and Monday, May 26, the city's police department announced on Tuesday, May 27.  The first shooting happened late Sunday night at around 11:41 p.m. when authorities received reports of shots fired near Gray Street and Forbus Street, police said.
