Search Resumes For 2 Swimmers Missing In Candlewood Lake
An extensive search and rescue mission will resume early on Tuesday, July 16, for two men who jumped from a boat in a Fairfield County lake and never resurfaced. The incident occurred in Danbury at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, July 16, at Candlewood Lake in the area of City Island. According to Erin Henry, spokesperson for the Danbury Fire Department, it was reported that two men had jumped off a boat into the lake and disappeared. 22-Year-Old Attacks, Robs Victim Outside Capital Region Salvation Army, Police Say
A 22-year-old suspect is behind bars following a violent robbery in the region that sent a man to the hospital. The attack happened shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday, May 19, in Albany, outside the Salvation Army building on Clinton Avenue. When officers arrived, the 60-year-old victim told them that a man had punched him several times in the face and head, knocking him unconscious. The culprit then stole his wallet and fled the scene.
