Flooding Closes Route 22 Stretch In NY (Developing) A stretch of Route 22 in Putnam County is closed as a result of flooding.  The stretch of Route 22 in Patterson between Route 164 and Haviland Hollow Road is currently closed as of Monday, July 14 at 5:45 p.m., according to 511NY traffic reports.  All lanes in both directions are closed to traffic.  More information about the closure has not yet been made available. Lane Reduction To Slow Traffic On I-684 In Northern Westchester: Here's Where Traffic on a stretch of I-684 in Westchester and Fairfield counties is set to be affected by a series of lane reductions, officials announced.  Both directions of Interstate 684 in North Castle and Greenwich, between Exit 2 (Route 120) and Exit 3 (Route 22) will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and Thursday, Sept. 5, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  The lane closures will be put into place between 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 5 a.m. on Thursday.  The traffic impacts will allow crews to perform bridge work, officials said.

Man Caught With Illegally-Possessed Gun In Hudson Valley Traffic Stop: Police A Connecticut man faces a felony weapons charge after being caught with an illegally possessed gun during a traffic stop in the Hudson Valley, police announced.  Fairfield County resident Mathew Conti of Danbury, age 27, was arrested in Putnam County on a weapons charge on Tuesday, June 25, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Friday, June 28.  According to the Sheriff's Office, at around 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday, deputies saw a vehicle with an obscured license plate driving north on Route 22 near the interchange with Interstate 684 in Brewster and pulled it over.
