Every year, some cities feel the luck of the Irish a little more than others.
WalletHub released its 2026 list of Best Cities for St. Patrick's Day Celebrations on Wednesday, March 11. The study ranked 200 US cities based on holiday traditions, Irish pubs and restaurants per capita, affordability, safety, accessibility, and even the weather forecast.
WalletHub said Americans are expected to spend about $7 billion on St. Patrick's Day in 2026.

Motorcyclist ID'd After Fatal Crash In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley man was killed after his motorcycle veered off Route 209 in Ulster County.
The crash happened around 6:10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, in the town of Rochester, according to New York State Police.
A 2003 Harley-Davidson was traveling southbound when, for reasons still under investigation, it left the roadway via the west shoulder and entered a wooded area.
The rider, identified as Timothy Avery, 58, of Kerhonkson, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Five people were killed and dozens more injured when a tour bus overturned on the Thruway in western New York.
The Genesee County crash happened in the eastbound lanes of I-90 in the town of Pembroke, between exits 48A and 49, at around 12:20 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, according to New York State Police.

NY's Chuck Mangione, Jazz Star, 'King Of The Hill' Recurring Guest, Dies
An iconic jazz musician has died in his upstate New York home, according to reports.
Chuck Mangione died on Tuesday, July 22, according to a family statement. The 84-year-old's death was first reported by the Democrat & Chronicle, a newspaper in his hometown of Rochester, NY.
Mangione's family said he "peacefully passed away in his sleep" at his Rochester home. He was most well-known for the song "Feels So Good," along with the 1977 album with the same name.

When it comes to putting down your roots, these New York locales are among the best in the nation, according to a brand-new ranking.
Four cities in the Empire State made the top 100 on U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 “Best Places to Live in the US” ranking.
