DMV Nabs 3 Running Unlicensed Used Car Dealership In Dutchess County
Following a two-year investigation, three Hudson Valley men were nabbed running an alleged unlicensed used car dealership.
The three men, Raed Nesheiwat, age 57; Lakeia Parker, age 41, and Marceise Livesay, age 26, all of Poughkeepsie, were arrested in Dutchess County on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Poughkeepsie.
According to Water McClure of the state Division of Motor Vehicles, the investigation found that the three sold more than 150 vehicles out of a building and parking lot at 20-22 Pershing Ave., in Poughkeepsie, without a legitimate dealer license.

Dutchess County resident Haitham A. Dasan, age 48, of Poughkeepsie was picked up by the District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force on Thursday, Nov. 1 in an of Poughkeepse known as the "South Side."

With the votes counted, Democratic incumbent Pat Ryan defeated Republican challenger Alison Esposito in New York's 18th Congressional District, according to the New York State Board of Elections.
The 18th District includes all of Orange County and most of Dutchess and Ulster counties. The district consists of Newburgh, Beacon, Kingston, and Poughkeepsie.

Dutchess County Man Nabbed For Attempted Murder In Stabbing Incident, Police Say
A person residing in the region was nabbed for alleged attempted murder in a stabbing incident that seriously wounded another man.
The attack occurred in Dutchess County at 1 a.m. Sunday, June 30, in the area of Smith and Mansion Streets in Poughkeepsie.
According to the Poughkeepsie Police, on Thursday, Oct. 17, members of the Neighborhood Recovery Unit, Detective Bureau, and Patrol Division located and arrested Rushaan Francis, age 27, of Poughkeepsie, in connection with the June 30 stabbing.
