Claire's has revealed nearly 300 of its stores that will be closing as the popular mall brand navigates bankruptcy. The well-known children's jewelry and ear-piercing retailer released a list of the 291 locations that are shuttering in a bankruptcy court filing on Monday, Aug. 25. That includes 71 Claire's and Icing stores across the Northeast. The closures add to the financial pressure facing the mall chain, which filed for bankruptcy earlier in August. Cops ID Man, 25, Pulled From Long Island Pool After Party
A 25-year-old man died after being pulled unresponsive from a backyard swimming pool after a party at a home on Long Island Saturday, July 19, authorities said. A homeowner on Bloomington Street in Medford found Sleigan Laroc's body in the water at approximately 9:35 p.m., Suffolk County police said. The homeowner pulled the Laroc's body from the water and began performing CPR. Officers from the Sixth Precinct arrived shortly after and took over life-saving efforts.
