Monitoring Of US Residents Starts After Deadly Cruise Ship Hantavirus Outbreak
A deadly medical emergency at sea is now rippling back onto land.
Health officials in at least five US states were monitoring residents after a hantavirus outbreak aboard the MV Hondius cruise ship, CBS News reports.
The states include Georgia, Texas, Virginia, Arizona, and California, according to CBS News. Officials said the monitored residents were not showing signs of illness.
Two residents in Georgia, two in Texas, one in Virginia, one in Arizona, and an unspecified number in California were being tracked after travel tied to the ship, CBS News reported.
