Fiancée Paralyzed, Children Aboard As NY Man Crashes Boat Drunk: Indictment
A Mastic Beach man allegedly piloted a speeding boat drunk with two children and his fiancée aboard, slamming into a jetty and leaving her paralyzed, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced on Thursday, July 17.
Edward Hillkewicz, 28, is accused of operating a 33-foot vessel in the Shinnecock Canal while intoxicated on Saturday, May 25 at approximately 8:40 p.m., after drinking earlier in Greenport.
