Threats To Son Lead To NY Man's More Than Decade-Long Sentence : DA A 47-year-old Orange County father's threatening text messages to his son set off a chain of events that has now landed him behind bars for more than a decade, prosecutors said. The arrest happened in Dutchess County around 11:10 p.m. on Friday, July 4, when a trooper pulled over a Honda CR-V on Route 9 in the Village of Wappinger for multiple traffic violations, New York State Police announced on Sunday, July 6.
