Lane Reopens After Truck Rolls Down Embankment On I-84 Stretch In NY (Update) A crash on Interstate 84 in Putnam County has left all westbound lanes closed and is causing traffic backups.  The incident happened on I-84 West near Exit 58 in the town of Kent on Friday, July 11 around 7:15 a.m., according to traffic reports from 511NY.  The crash left all westbound lanes closed in the area for the rest of the morning, backing up traffic up to the area of Exit 61. Photos: Stranded Driver Saved From Floodwaters On Route 22 In NY During Storm A driver who became trapped in a flooded stretch of Route 22 in Putnam County during an intense rainstorm was rescued by firefighters who braved the conditions to get them out safely.  The rescue happened in Brewster on Tuesday evening, July 1, when firefighters with the Brewster Fire Department saved a motorist on Route 22 near the Interstate 84 overpass.  Photos of the dramatic scene were posted on the department's social media page.  Brewster firefighters on 11-5-1 and 11-2-2 assisted a stranded motorist that was stuck in flood waters on Rt. 22 during heavy rains this…
