Drunk Driver Had 4 Kids In Car At Time Of Hudson Valley Arrest, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man is facing felony charges after he was caught driving drunk with four children in the car, police said.
Ruben Fernandez-Urena, 34, of Yonkers, was arrested early Sunday, July 27, following a traffic stop on I-87 near Exit 9 in Tarrytown, according to New York State Police.
During the stop, Fernandez-Urena appeared intoxicated and failed multiple field sobriety tests, police said. A breath sample taken at the Tarrytown barracks reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.12%.
Inside the car were four child passengers, ages 12, 11, 7, and 5.

A traffic stop on I-87 in Albany led to the arrest of a Walden man for possession of felony-weight narcotics, the New York State Police reported.
According to Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, the incident occurred on Monday, Jan. 13, around 10:2o a.m., when troopers stopped a vehicle for multiple violations.

A tragic early morning crash on I-87 southbound in Clarkstown claimed the life of a 28-year-old New City man, New York State Police reported.
Justin Drinks was speeding in a 2022 Tesla when he tried to change lanes around 1:20 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, near exit 12, NYSP Trooper Jennifer Alvarez said.

State Police believe a 26-year-old woman found dead on the side of I-87 after a fiery crash in the region is the victim of a hit-and-run.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, near Exit 21 in Catskill, Greene County.

Woman, 25, Killed After Car Rolls Over Several Times On NY Thruway

A woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash after her car rolled multiple times on the Adirondack Northway.
The collision occurred in Saratoga County around 4:50 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 1, on the Northway north of the Exit 14 off-ramp in Saratoga Springs.
According to New York State Police Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, the crash caused one of the vehicles to overturn and killed the driver, identified as Makenzie T. Minkler, age 25, of Rensselaer.
