New Supermarket To Open In Hudson Valley
A new 24-hour-a-day supermarket is opening in the Hudson Valley, focusing on everything fresh.
The Garden Fresh Market, located in Rockland County in Spring Valley, will have its soft opening on Wednesday, Oct. 23, and its grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 26, said owner Wilson Bermeo of New City.
This will be the fourth supermarket for Bermeo, who immigrated from Ecuador in 1995 to live the American Dream.
"You work all the time, every day, and you can have that dream," Bermeo said with a laugh.

Long Island resident John B. Mensch, age 54, pleaded guilty in connection with a nearly year-long fraud conspiracy involving banks in Suffolk County and the Hudson Valley, federal authorities announced Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 2.
