A Maryland judge has ruled that Kilmar Abrego Garcia be released immediately from his immigration detention. US District Judge Paula Xinis ordered that Abrego Garcia be released from the Moshannon Valley Processing Center in Pennsylvania, arguing that he was held "without lawful authority." A Wyandanch native who drowned at Sailors Haven on Fire Island is being remembered as a decorated combat veteran and kind soul who dedicated his life to service, friends told Daily Voice on Sunday, Aug. 24. Ishmoile Mohammed, 59, died after being pulled from a rip current at Sailors Haven on Saturday, Aug. 23, Suffolk County police previously announced.
